
An affiliate of Host Hotels & Resorts (NYSE: HST) sold the 459-room property to a limited liability company run by AWH Partners, a privately held New York City real estate company that operates Spire Hospitality. Elsewhere in the region, AWH owns and manages the Embassy Suites in the Eastgate area of Bellevue.
Located across the street from Seattle-Tacoma International Airport, the Marriott is the sixth largest hotel in the region, according to Puget Sound Business Journal research. It was built in 1980, and over the last decade went through a $15 million, multi-year renovation. The hotel has 18,000 square feet of meeting space and a nine-story atrium with a pool.
